A 22-year-old man has appeared in court following an 11-hour armed siege.

A man was arrested on Thursday morning after the stand-off in the village of Cynwyd, near Corwen in Denbighshire.

He appeared at Llandudno Magistrates Friday and was remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court in April.

He was charged with affray, making threats to kill a police officer, damaging a police vehicle and possessing a firearm with intent to cause police officers fear.
