South Yorkshire Police launch murder investigation

Police said they are treating the death of a 28-year-old woman as murder after she was found with stab wounds in a Doncaster house.

South Yorkshire Police said they went to a house on Stanley Road after reports of a disturbance just after 22:00 BST on Friday.

Officers found the injured woman and the body of a 36-year-old man.

The woman was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where she later died of her injuries.

Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
