1. It's the signature of Jack Lew, who is expected to be named by President Obama as the successor to outgoing Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner. The treasury secretary's signature appears on all dollar bills.
2. It's pink. Deep purple was also added. Previously, the highest temperature on the range was 50C, represented by black.
3. It's hitmen. A man in China hired virtual "assassins" to hunt down his son in online video games and kill off his avatar, according to local media. The man was concerned about the amount of time his 23-year-old son was spending online.
4. It's garlic. The pair are alleged to have organised shipments of Chinese garlic to Norway, which is not in the EU and not subject to its tariffs, then across the border into Sweden. Garlic smuggling can be a lucrative business.
5. Renee Slater had been charged with adding a candidate she knew was, in fact, a mannequin. But in a trial this week, a sheriff ruled there was no case to answer. Ms Slater told BBC Scotland she had wanted to represent the voice of the silent majority in the Torry area of Aberdeen.
6. It's Frank Sidebottom. The film is based on the memoir by author Jon Ronson and is a inspired by Frank Sidebottom - the persona of cult musician and comedian Chris Sievey from Manchester, who died in 2010.
7. It's the US Congress, which is less popular than cockroaches, used car salesmen and head lice among other things, according to a poll by Public Policy Polling.
