Bystanders watched in New York City, US, on Thursday, after three buildings collapsed in an explosion and fire. More than 200 firefighters battled the blaze. Andi Elloway took this picture.
Alisha Mahalingam sent this photograph showing the smoke plume rising above the city. Police have said 22 people were injured - four critically - while two people remain unaccounted for.
Hot air balloons modelled on Star Wars characters Yoda and Darth Vader took to the skies over Lubao, Pampanga, in the Philippines, as part of a local balloon festival.

Thousands of people took to the streets in Singapore on Sunday, to say goodbye to the country's founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Kew. The 91-year-old died on Monday.
An Air Canada plane 'exited' the runway while landing at Halifax airport. Passenger Chad Kawasaki shared this image, saying: "We are lucky to be alive."
